JKC Mangarh held a Blood Donation camp on Sunday, 21st February, 2010 in association with Allahabad Medical Association Blood Bank wherein 141 blood donations were collected.

Surgical Workshop In Association

From February 24th to February 27th, 2010 JKC – Mangarh organized yet another Cataract Surgical Workshop in association with Tilganga Eye Centre, Nepal & Himalayan Cataract Project, USA. The workshop was held under the supervision of Tilganga Eye Center Hospital’s Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon - Dr. Govind Paudyal with Dr. B. Mohanty & Dr. S. Hota (From JKC Mangarh) assisting Dr. G. Paudyal in the surgeries. Screening and Ophthalmic investigations for the same began on Monday, 15th February till February 23rd 2010. Approximately 2731 patients were examined and 520 were operated for Cataract Surgeries. 120 Cataract Surgeries were done through the latest Phaco Technique which saw great results in patient’s visual acuity measurements.

Mangarh Ophthalmic Department

On Sunday, 26 July 2009, the auspicious day of Naag Panchami, Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj inaugurated JKC – Mangarh’s new hospital building that is attached to its present hospital complex. The new building of JKC - Mangarh has a major area allocated for a fully equipped Ophthalmic Department which consists of two Major Eye OTs, a 30 Bedded Male & Female Ward only for eye patients on the first floor and 4 Eye OPDs; Eye Examination Room; and a Minor OT on the ground floor. Apart from the Ophthalmic Department, JKC’s Physiotherapy and Shiatsu Acupressure unit have been shifted to the ground floor of the New Building.

Dental Unit

On the same day, that is July 26, 2009, JKC – Mangarh also saw the inauguration of a fully equipped Dental Unit. With visiting dentist, Dr. Puneet Upadhyay of Allahabad rendering his services every Sunday on a charity basis, the dental unit is fully equipped to provide solutions to all sorts of dental complaints and also has the facility of free dental x-rays to its patients.

Tilganga Eye Center

At JKC - Mangarh, a Cataract Surgical Workshop was organized from 20th to 24th September, 2009 in association with Tilganga Eye Centre, Nepal & Himalayan Cataract Project, USA. Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj inaugurated the workshop. The workshop was held under the supervision of Tilganga Eye Center Hospital’s Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon - Dr. Govind Paudyal and Dr. Kishore Pradhan with Dr. Sandhya Swami (From JKC Barsana) assisting Dr. G. Paudyal in the surgeries. Approximately 1890 patients were examined and 404 operated of which 403 were Cataract Surgeries & 1, a case of Pterygium. 110 Cataract Surgeries were done through the latest Phaco Technique which saw great results in patient’s visual acuity measurements.
