Since its inception JKC - Mangarh has been conducting many Health Programmes apart from its regular day to day activities. It has been playing an active role in the conducting the following Programmes –

JKC - Mangarh has been continuously holding various medical camps such as Blood Donation Camps, Cataract Workshops, Heart Camp and General Medical Camp in its campus area whereby specialist doctors of respective disciplines conduct these camps under their supervision.

Blood Donation Camp

Since 2007, JKC - Mangarh has been holding Blood Donation camps twice every year. First in March during a Holi Program conducted in JKP – Bhakti Dham’s Ashram campus and second in October / November when there is a one month sadhana shivir in Bhakti Dham. During this period many devotees from within India and Abroad come to participate in these programs and hence are more than willing to donate blood which could save someone’s life. The Blood Donation Camp is held in association with the Allahabad Medical Association (AMA) Blood Bank.

Dr. Ashok Agarwal, chairman of the Blood Bank with his team members headed by Dr. Sharad conducts the blood donation procedure. JKC - Mangarh always creates a new record of blood donations received and manages to break the target of 100 set by the Blood Bank. All blood donations received by JKC - Mangarh are donated further to the AMA Blood Bank.

Cataract Surgical Workshop

JKC - Mangarh has been holding cataract surgical workshops in the hospital premises once every year since its inception whereby ophthalmic surgeons from Kunda, Allahabad, Orissa and even Nepal render their services free to the hospital.

Since 2007, JKC - Mangarh has started conducting the Cataract Surgical Workshop in association with Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology – Nepal & the Himalayan Cataract Project – USA. The workshop is held under the supervision of Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology’s Administrator – Mr. Bhagirath Baniya and The Himalayan Cataract Project Manager – Mr. Khim Gurung with Vitreo—Retinal Surgeon, Dr. Govind Paudyal (Nepal) and Resident Ophthalmic Surgeons of JKC – Mangarh, Dr. B. Mohanty & JKC – Barsana, Dr Sandhya Swami with their Para-medical team members performing the surgeries.

The Workshop usually of three days includes free vision testing and cataract removal surgeries where in high quality of intra ocular lens implantation is done free of charge. A follow-up visit (usually after one month) is made by the same operating team whereby all the operated patients are provided with free eyesight testing and spectacles apart from a vision test for the other general patients who desire to get their eyesight tested. Approximately 1000 patients are seen and around 300 operated every year during these workshops.

Heart Camp

General Medical Camp

On 25th March 2005, Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj inaugurated the International Rural Medical Foundation (IRMF) and in association with it, the Hospital held a one-day General Medical Check-Up camp. Dr. S. C. Rai - President of IRMF and then the Mayor of Lucknow, chief guest in the Camp also took his precious time out in examining patients.

Apart from Dr. S.C. Rai, other members of IRMF – i.e. Dr. Mahendra N. Khanna (Vice President of IRMF and Thoracic Surgeon), Dr. Narendra Khanna (Cardiologist – then at Escorts Heart Centre – Delhi), Dr. (Mrs.) Gargi Khanna (Gynecologist & Obstetrician), Dr. Sanjay Mishra (Cardio Thoracic Vascular Surgeon), and Dr. (Mrs.) Shailja Mishra (Gynecologist & Obstetrician) were part of the team who examined approximately 300 patients in a day assisted by JKC doctors.
